As I write this, Congress is currently debating a massive national health bill. The President is trying his best to push through this plan. Other, competing proposals are on the table. While many details are still unknown, one thing is certain: the new plan, regardless of its complexity, must be funded. And unlike the Brits, click here this money won't be from savings from never going to the dentist. In this country, the funding is likely going to come from a "pay or play" option. It will be forced on all businesses, big and small.

I would love to see the pharmaceutical sector focus on health, not profits, and drugs be used only for life-saving purposes. but I digress!

Make sure you read the fine print. It may be paid by Medicare or Medicaid. Third party payers may have specific requirements before they will spend the money to cover the service. Be sure to check with your provider that they meet all of these requirements.

Drowning in brochures. When you call on another office or business to leave some of your marketing materials, be mindful of how much you are leaving behind. The office may not have the resources or may not want them. Your patients may not be the best for your practice. There can be any number of reasons. Be sensitive to their needs as well as your own.

There are many job types in this industry. In general, however, the two most common jobs you can get in this industry are home health aide or home (or personal care) aide.

The next step is to streamline the business by redesigning the workflow to minimize resistance and delays. health care experiences "Lazy-patient Syndrome". While the clinician may only spend three minutes on a patient, the patient stays in bed for the rest of the time (the 3-57 rule). It is because the ED's time to discharge a patient from hospital takes hours rather than minutes. Watch a patient's journey from start to finish to see how much time is actually spent with them. Notice how much time an insurance claim spends in a queue waiting to be corrected.
